After reading about lead in lipstick (although I always knew it was some type of chemicals in my cosmetics that I wouldn’t necessarily agree with) I decided to explore the greener side of the cosmetic world. I took a detour in my local EarthFare to the cosmetics area. There, I discovered a brand, ZuZu Luxe, that markets that it is gluten-free and all natural. Being that is in my favorite grocery store that focuses on organic foods and healthy living, I was all for giving this brand a try. I played around with the samples and feel in love with the lightweight after effect of the foundation. I am now a proud owner of the ZuZu Luxe Oil-Free Liquid Foundation in L-21.
What the Brand Boasts:
An oil-free medium to full coverage liquid foundation that covers skin imperfections flawlessly. Our advanced treatment formula provides a weightless finish designed to enhance the natural undertones of your skin. Our liquid foundation creates a smooth complexion while offering sun protection with SPF 18.

Do I love it? You bet. It is VERY lightweight. I feel like there is absolutely nothing on my face. However, the consistency is kind of watery, yet the coverage is amazing! A little of this product definitely goes a long way (although you may have to press lightly on the tub as it does exit out quickly).
Their suggestion for application:
Wait until liquid foundation is dry before using one of our Dual Powder Foundation applied with our Powder Brush to set. Always view face in natural light to make sure that your skin imperfections are effectively covered. Foundation can also be applied to lips. It creates a blank canvas for any reshaping. It also helps lipstick to stay on longer. True, very true. I set it with my MAC Studio Fix, though.
My only hiccup is the price: a whooping $29.75. Yep, I did it. So what? It’s probably one of the best investments I have made in a long time. My skin is nothing to play with when it comes to crap, and since she will be with me until I’m old and grey (hopefully not really wrinkled *wink*) I definitely want to use the best products on her.
I will be purchasing more products over time, but I am uber excited about how the rest of the cosmetic line will work. To learn more information about ZuZu Luxe, visit this site.
