I’ve had these products for a few weeks now and recently used them to execute this 3-strand twist out style! I finally got to try a 3-strand twist out, not that anything was holding me back except for the fact that I never, ever tried. I don’t know exactly how it was suppose to work on my hair, really…
The twists themselves came out kinda puffy if you ask me. I also made them more on the larger side, but I kinda think the puffiness/fluffiness is direct result of the Dark and Lovely Super Softening Hair Butter. It left my hair soft almost to the point of feeling like cotton. Going forward, I will probably just use this as a “butter” meaning layering it with another styler that will provide a little more hold if I need a more defined style. Wearing my ‘fro or something? Then this is perfect! All in all, I would highly suggest pairing the styler with a oil to retain the moisture. Also, out of the whole line the conditioner is what impressed me most.
I do like the volume I got from this style – oh, and the shrinkage! It makes it look so full!! I’m going to try this style again, maybe on stretched hair? I’m interested in seeing it in a different capacity – maybe more defined? Questions that need answers, I guess… so I will have to just do it to see!!
