Week TWO of the #SFLEMarathonInJuly
and guess what that means?
The challenge is halfway over. Already pRoy?!
So far, 25 people have completed the challenge! Woo hoo!!! There are also a TON of people who are literally tenths of a mile away from finishing – you’ve got this, keep pushing!
Now, there are still people who haven’t started and I just want them to know that it’s not over yet. There are 15 days left in July. In just 14 days (at 2 miles per day) persons who have 0 miles can have well over 26.2 miles by the end of the month. How exciting is that?
Make a decision to make some moves. Running is addictive, but it’s something that you have to get out there and start FIRST! Once you’re out there, don’t just stay “there”. You want to get better so make sure each time you go out you are focusing on improving something – your breathing, your form, your time, your distance – something! Personally, I set a goal to beat my 10K speed. With encouragement from my husband and a hard push from myself, I topped my time by 5 minutes! I said all of that to say this: you have to got to want to be your best and by being your best that means doing your best at all times. Make that move and move those feet!!
Also, for my people who are still going – drink plenty of water and get ample rest! Your body cannot function properly without either one of those. Rest is important because you have to give your body time to heal, so go to sleep at a decent hour and take your “off” days seriously by being completely OFF.
Lastly, I encourage you all to follow and friend the people who have been most inspiring to you during this challenge. Constantly seeing them on your friend’s list will keep you motivated when you feel like giving up!!
