MANE Events: Three Day Definition

creme-of-nature-three-day-definition-askpRoy I walked around in snow flurries. I ran a 10K. I partied all night long two nights in a row. I attended a NFL game. I even slept with no scarf on my head whatsoever.  And I know you see it… I just know it.  The definition that I got from this style withstood the test of time and I’m here to share what products I used to achieve this here style!

IMG_1077I started with freshly washed hair using the Creme of Nature Hair Milk Masque for Deep Conditioning.  I let that set for about an hour, washed it out and styled my hair using the Twirling Custard and the Butter-licious Curls to twists the twists and the Twirling Custard with Eco Styler Gel to create finger coils on the sides.  I did this all on damp hair.  I also allowed my hair to set for about 16 hours (overnight included).

The next day, I used just a tad bit of oil on my fingers to unravel the twists and separate the finger coils.  I didn’t separate the twists AT ALL.  Check out the definition from Day One!

IMG_1058Clearly, as time went on my hair grew bigger with more volume. I picked my roots a little prior to the Hair Color Crush event, but nothing too much that would disturb my curls.  You can see my hair during the event by clicking here.

By Day 2, I had slept all on my hair – on the plane, on the couch, in the bed… I was tired. LOL!  And I still managed to go out that night!  As you can see, my hair didn’t change much:

IMG_1013Day 3 I went out for a run – a 10K to be exact – and didn’t retwist my hair, much less add extra product.  The results were plumper sections and extreme volume at the top of my hair with some slight frizz! I loved it!

IMG_1015And as much as I loved it, I knew it had run its course so I should probably retwist… Meh.  You know I love to keep a good twist out going though – 5 days strong here and extra special tips on how to upkeep a twist out here.

I’ll wash, style and see what I come up with – especially since I will be walking for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Give thanks. Walk this weekend – will you be there?! Support in anyway that you can!

How are you wearing your hair?
