This past weekend, I had the pleasure of joining forces with Dark and Lovely at Taliah Waajid’s 19th Annual World Natural Hair, Health and Beauty Show in Atlanta, GA. Here’s a recap of what you missed:
Booth 815 hosted ALL the funs! The biggest hit? The wheel! Guests could spin the wheel for a chance to win free products. Here I am calling out the raffle ticket numbers for guests who were extremely eager to win:
And amongst those winners was this cutie:
Wanted to try a product, but didn’t know which one to choose? No worries! Armed with a wealth of knowledge, the devilishly handsome Director of Education, Mezei Jefferson, was on site educating consumers on the products in the Moisture L.O.C. and Anti-Shrinkage lines.
And if you needed style inspiration, there was much delivered! We stood around and awe as hair stylists Michael Wray, Kristia Stokes and Rene McCrorey created the most creative and intricate hairstyles using the Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Moisture L.O.C. and Anti-Shrinkage collections!
Rene used Remix Rings and the products above to create voluminous curls this model:
Kristia used the products above to create bantu knots on the model below:
Look at that design:
The models, styled by wardrobe stylist Danielle Mellanson, sported large chunky statement necklaces with custom-made maxi skirts. They looked absolutely flawless!
But my absolute favorite thing to do when I go to these shows? Mixing and mingling with you guys! Here I am with Karen Lopez and Lauren Clements of Dark and Lovely!
Loved her spirit and her taper!
Hey girl, hey! xx
All the blogger boos all posed for a picture:
And day one was just the beginning. The second day I got to see more of you guys and witness even more beautiful styles!
Kristia had her creative juices flowing when she came up with this style:
I think this one is my favorite!
Many thanks to Dark and Lovely for inviting me to tag along for this event! It was such an awesome experience and I am grateful to have been in the company of such a great brand! xo
