Every day I am more and more at ease.
“Relax” has been my mantra for 2018. I don’t sweat the small things. Everything doesn’t deserve a reaction, and I’m very intentional about who and what I give my energy to. If I get worked up, all it will do raise my blood pressure, create worry lines on my forehead, and cause me to curse. It’s not worth all of that so I let it go.
Yoga has really helped me to reconnect to my inner peace. Through my practice, I’ve learned that being present is the only thing that matters in that moment.
Worrying about what happened earlier in the day is a waste. Later will come soon enough, so I don’t crowd my head with thoughts of what will happen next.
I just am there, connecting to my poses, releasing any tension I may feel in them, and breathing. I am truly at ease.
And I take yoga with me wherever I go, remembering to just breathe and be in the moment.
It’s become so common for self-care to occur, it’s like second nature. Today, I made a new recipe wanting to mimic my favorite soup from my favorite Indian restaurant. I’m proud to say I NAILED the recipe (I saved some for tomorrow because it’s just that good)!
